Leo Sanchez, LIMM Board Chair, welcomed two new Board members at the LIMM March 29, 2014 Board meeting.

Her trips have been to Kenya, Madagascar, Indonesia, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Belize and Mexico. She was with the first LCMS team to deliver care after the Haiti earthquake in 2010. Sharon loves serving in the mission field on short term teams, and loves the opportunity to serve Christ in providing care to those in need, both home and abroad. Sharon will be traveling on a mission trip to Belize in June, 2014.

John Lautenschlager, MD left for Nigeria with his wife Bobbie and two small children in 1970. In 1972 they worked on the LCMS Ukele team with John Fajen, Bible translator, Ed Rupprecht, literacy worker, and David Boettcher, church planter, in the Ogoja area of Southern Nigeria. They left Nigeria in 1985 and served the LCMS mission in Kono, Sierra Leone until 1989. After returning to the United States, John took two more years of Family Practice training, then worked as an outpatient primary care doctor for St. Louis County Department of Health until full retirement in 2011. In addition, he served as volunteer physician for Concordia Seminary approximately one half day a week.
Bobbie, former LIMM Executive Director, went to be with her Lord in August, 2012.
