The 6 of us sat in the massive dining tent and talked for several hours about the work still needing to be done, about LIMM’s first investment of $5000 to Chaplain Ralph’s Extra Mile Ministries to start his work in Biloxi post-Katrina, and how that has been transformed into an on-going active ministry now supported enthusiastically by other Synodical groups, and about the sadness and concern they had for the need now in Iowa.

Our message to all our LIMM friends is to consider a work group from your congregations to go to either Camp Restore or Camp Biloxi and roll up your sleeves and add your hands to theirs to relieve the ongoing suffering  of this beleaguered area.  They are equipped and prepared to host you if you can come.  Or if you can’t go, please consider a gift through LIMM (Marked for  Hurricane Area work) and we will divide it equally for the two camps.  Please write to www.reinstitute.org for more information or for direct donations.

Thank you for keeping LIMM, REinstitute, Camp Restore, Camp Biloxi, and Extra Mile Ministry in your prayers.
